PalmettoSailor Its designed to train people to not over-react and call 911 every time they see a boat going down by the bow. We owe this guy a debt of gratitude. I know I for one get tired of being harrased by the USCG and State Marine Police every time my boat sinks.

Do these people think I don't know what I'm doing?

I don't think you are far wrong. If I recall we were up most of the night surrounded by a flotilla of Polish sailors. 'course I'm pretty sure we added to the commotion.

I doubt many people would notice that detail if they saw this boat in the water . I would suspect they would make the logical assumption that the boat was in distress, as the reality is not logical.

I have a ladder stored on my companionway hatch cover. From a distance you couldn't tell what purpose it serves.
