Yacht Club Launch - Recommendations?
Yes, I know, a stinkpot. Still, sailors use them all the time, even if it's just for three minutes a day. I'm talking about heavy, short-haul passenger ferries like the ubiquitous Crosby 22 with its 50-horse diesel.
So there's this club nearby seeking to get another launch / tender. Here's a chance for all you sages out there to chime in with comments about those tubs that you ride in to and fro your mooring and that bump into your just-waxed hull.
Diesel or gas? New or used? Manufacturer? Smaller and more maneuverable vs. bigger and more commodious? Extra-high freeboard? Tiller vs. wheel? Sheltered (bimini?) or not?
