JimsCAL The anchorage is just past the breakwater on the left as you enter the harbor. You basically have to find a spot where you won't interfere with the moorings. There are a couple of buoys there to indicate the suggested area. You can also get a mooring from Dodson's if you wish. Good info about the town dinghy dock near Skippers. Dodson's also has a dinghy dock.

rwy36 We're probably heading over towards Stonington next weekend and might have a chance to check it out. We did call the Harbormaster as you suggested and found that they just finished a new dinghy dock just south of Skipper's restaurant along the bulkhead north of the horseshoe docks. It's always nice when it's convenient to get ashore. Thanks for your reply, Bill

GMC Hi,
I'm surprised no one has answered you. There is transient anchorage in Stonington in a couple locations. Check cruising guides or just call harbormaster there for specifics.

Stonington Harbor

Does anyone know if there is a transient anchorage designated in Stonington Harbor?

Thanks,

Bill
