Re: Excalibur 26

I am restoring a 26 ft. Islander Excalibur and wondered if you could measure and provide me with the dimensions of your tiller and rudder. Both were missing when I bought my boat.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks man!

Yes, I'm still here and also at the Islander Forum.
Sorry I don't have a wiring diagram. Eventually I'm going to have to wire my boat too.
I can send a photo of my roller furler.

Re: Excalibur 26 wiring

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the excalibur (26')

This large a boat is new to me and i have no idea how to wire the boat especially the mast and bow lighting.

Would I need to unstep the Mast to check and replace that ? If so any work around for that ?

I am replacing the V berth so I assume the wiring for the bow lights will need to run under that when replaced.

Along with this boat I just bought comes a 12 V battery and solar panel charging system.

Is a second battery as a back up recommended ?

Also how would you handle a traditional plug for appliances ? - Mainly my kuerig coffee maker.

Thanks

Re: Excalibur 26

I posted a few hours ago but it didn't show up.
So here goes again:
I bought a '67 Excalibur 26 in January.
Had it trucked up from Marina Del Rey to Napa.
The outside and sails are in great shape but the inside needs finishing.
Would be glad to exchange photos and info.

Re: Excalibur 26

Jut picked up a 1968 - 26' Excalibur with a 6 hp motor in Boston so thinking I may have the only one on the east coast maybe.

Already thinking of extending the exhaust into the water as someone suggested.

Also going to redo the cabin, wood needs a lot of replacing anyone have any suggestions in doing this ?

Anyways just wanted to see if anyone is still active on this board.

Re: Excalibur 26

I live near SF Bay and would like to find a clean, sound Excalibur 26.
Anyone know of one for sale (preferably in CA).
Howard
