Vire and Westerbeke Vire

I have just bought my delta 26, so my relationship with the vire 7 is just beginning. Last week I had a problem with the gear, it got stuck forward, but after replacing the lubricant it was fine. Let's see how our relationship will evolve.

Have you sold your boat?

Re: Vire and Westerbeke Vire

I had a 1969 Vire in my 22 Westerly Cirrus it was 2 stroke about 7hp and ran like a top, I loved that little engine, the exhaust sounded like a Lamborghini

I believe it should be known by now, but anyway... did you check this website?

Vire and Westerbeke Vire

I am writing a little book about the tiny Vire marine engine. Got a lot of information from the Finnish manufacturer, the former Valmet and some from the Danish manufacturer. But nothing about Westerbeke selling Vire.
Any information about Vire anywhere interests. Please, don't hesitate, just write!
