smallboatlover no you got it wrong yes the boat in the link is some thing like that diffrent color though. i have two boats. i have a 1968 14' chrysler vailant The boat has a 1985 50hp Johnson. And getting a mistral 16' sunday picking it up. the boat has a 3hp seahorse i know how to maintain motors from work on my 50hp sorry if i wasn't clear. also i'm 15 years old so, and the boat isn't sentimental just i bought it and i want to fix it up. i have use the chrysler before i started the resto i know this forums isn't about powerboats that why i came here for advise on my new sailboat.

dnf777 Unless you have personal attachments or historical restoration ideas for the Chrysler outboard, just remember that every penny you spend on fixing it will be one less penny you have to buy a reliable replacement for it someday when you've had enough of being towed back to dock!

(I know that was harsh, and if its for sentimental reasons, that's a differn't story...but mine and many other experiences with Chrysler O/Bs is make sure you have a rope and comfortable paddles with you)

MarkCK the chrysler is a powerboat? i thought you had a 50hp engine on a sailing dinghy. i was scratching my head but decided not to say anything.

CalebD The boat with the 50 HP engine is a power boat. This is a sailboat: Mistral 16 sailboat for sale
like your Mistral 16'.
Free advice.
- Learn to maintain and service your 3 HP outboard yourself.
- Learn how your boat sails first with only the main then the jib and only then work your way up to using the spinnaker gradually.
It looks like a pretty fun boat and you have a motor. Go have fun!

smallboatlover ya it's a fun boat doing a restoration on it. the motor doesn't exceed the limits.

MarkCK a 1968 chrylser 14' with 50hp?

that's a lot of horsepower on a 14 foot boat.
