imsaint007 That's a Home depot turnbuckle to adjust the hight , or you can use strong chain cut to size , with a hock to lift it . good luck .

besodelmar How did you make the hanger that is connected to the engine mount??

Spyder Very good idea. I don't think we realize how often a hydraulic jack can be useful with boats. My catboat has an 80lb rudder, and needed new bushings. The jack made it a one-man, 20 minute, job while in a cradle.

How to change your engine mounts

A very trick job if you need to work around your engine and no room to jack up the engine and no place to anchor your lifting device ,I had this problem , even the smaller palm jack could not position it to remove and replace the mounts so I had to come out with a contraption to work around and out of the way of the mounts with room to remove and replaced it.
Here is my gadget that consists in pluming pipes and a bottle jack .
Hope some else can use the idea .
Engine Perkins 4236 1.200 lbs

Cheers!
