Cap't Wally Saildrive was I28 electrical

I mentioned your issues w/the saildrive to the guys who own "Wisdom", an I28 in Milwaukee. Lee graciously offered to take your calls and share his 28 (more?) years of care and feeding of their drive... He has swapped engines and kept it going.

Use the contact eddress in my previous post and I'll get you two connected. They don't do mail lists...

Cap't Wally Alot has happened since my last post...elect sorted out but now back on the hard because the newly rebuilt motor leaks quite a bit...I removed it and have it in a shop that knows saildrives, hoping they don't rape me to bad. The previous owner had just rebuilt and resealed the motor but wasn't very successful.

Islander 28 Saildrive wiring

I will be on a 1978 Islander 28 equiped with the Johnson Sail Drive on Friday August 29th by about 4PM Central Standard time. I believe the boat is stock so I may be able to help you resolve your wiring issues.

Islander 28 electrical diagram

I just bought an Islander 28(1978) that has a saildrive motor and it appears that there is no power to the ignition switch. i was wondering if anyone has a diagram that shows the saildrive wiring. I copyied a diagram from an earlier post but it is for an atomic 4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
