Lessons in Mazatlan

I have a vacation planned for Mazatlan this winter and I am ready to make the leap from dingy to keel boat sailing and was hoping to get some instruction in the warm waters of mexico. I was wondering if anyone has taken lessons in Mazatlan or the area, and if it was something that is best to be pre booked or just show up and ask the tour operators where to get some sailing lessons. I can only find one charter outfit offering lessons and I am not sure if I should book or just go and hope to find something better down there.

Thanks Brad
