blt2ski MOre than likely on "that" part of the lake, it was just folks out using there boats. Not sure of any clubs that "might" be racing. Now if you were talking in between the bridges on any given weekend or week night in the Ap-sept area, then it could be a race. As that is the most common area for races.

MANY years ago off of what is now David E Brink park in Kirkland, Neptune sailing club owned the land and had C-lark, lighting and Laser races in the northern part of the lake.

JedNeck Hey I grew up in Kingston...used to get run out of the marina by the harbor master all the time for riding bikes down the ramps and out the slips.

Almost died once rowing a rubber raft that went flat from Arness Park to the marina. Had to swim like 100yards raft in tow...

I figured it was just a nice day but I am always looking for somewhere to sail with company. Lake WA is on my to do list for next year. I want to start in Kenmore, sail to Boeing in Renton and back. Make it an overnighter shake down run. Then I'm going to trailer to Lake Ozette for the Fourth of July week.

Faster Lots of local, casual (and not-so-casual) racing nearly year round esp in the relatively mild PNW.. What you saw was likely some of that.. this has been (is) a pretty nice but crisp weekend.. looks like short-lived snow tonight, though

blt2ski I would swag a NICE NW day that folks were trying to get a last day of sunny, granted cold day of sailing in. Lots o days in Nov to march like yesterday frankly. Had a great new years sail in just above freezing temps from Edmonds to Kingston and back. Kingston due to the amount of freshwater running into the marina had about 1/2" of frozen water!

Lake Washington Sailing Yesterday

Had a jealous fit of rage yesterday as I was driving past the SE corner of Lake WA. I was taking my ski boat to it's winter home (the GFs RV garage). If I wasn't on a schedule I probably would have run out to see what was up.
There were sails of all shapes and sizes crusing about the lake.
Was it anyone here? A race? A club? Or just a nice NW day?
