I did it again.
Went out yesterday afternoon from about 2PM to 7PM.
Got to just about the center of the Sound.
Just me all by my lonesome.
Winds from 15 to 20+, I saw 23 once.
Waves about 3 to 4, temp about 45-50

|jimmalkin||I spotted the first sailboat of my 2012 in Vineyard Haven yesterday. Marshall Cat floating about in 5-8kts of air and looking chilly but relaxed. I gave him a call on VHF to congratulate him, but he was obviously happily off the air. Note: didn't hear anyone on 16 asking for a radio check...!|

|WanderingStar||Sounds Great! I love being the only boat out there. Peaceful, and if I squint a bit I can pretend there's no one ashore but Indians...|

That's what you call a perfect day. No one to bug ya. As for the wife's comment, she means the weather was not good and you/her should not be going out. I say you got lucky. If the quiet gets to you just turn on the VHF and enjoy the chit-chat of the boats not in sight.
