sailingdog Trimarans are fairly rare beasties as sailboats go. The most common trimarans, at least in this country, are probably the Corsairs and related Farrier designs.

Chris White, also designs multihulls, and is based out of Massachusetts IIRC. I have sailed on a Newick designed tri, but don't remember the specifics the boats specs.

As one of the few multihull sailors on this site, I might be able to help you, so PM me if you have any more specific questions.

Off-shore Trimaran

Hey guys,
I'm looking for an off-shore trimaran that is capable of ocean cruising/racing. I've been looking at various racing/cruising models by designers like Cross, Crowther, and Newick. I want the boat to be under 40 feet as I am an avid single-handed sailor and live aboard. Newick Tri's seem to be the best suited for off-shore racing...does anyone have any experience with any of these designers trimarans? I would really appreciate any and all feedback.
