It is likely that they've already left. If you are interested, you should probably e-mail kirk at the address above.

Catamaran Cruise in November from Norfolk to FL and Nassau

38í Luxury Sailing Catamaran cruise from Norfolk VA to West Palm Beach FL then Nassau Bahamas. ETD Norfolk between November First and Sixth, ETA West Palm Beach One to Two weeks later (November 15-19) with possibilities to remain aboard to Nassau a few days later, weather permitting. Cost is about $35 per day per person to cover fuel and food plus there are minimal shared responsibilities. As of 10/22/06 there are two cabins open on this trip for couples or individuals with some sailing or boating experience and the desire to learn more, again couples are encouraged to respond. You should able to maintain watches at the helm after some instruction, this is not a paid pleasure cruise or a delivery so much as a shared-expense cruise opportunity. Accepted crewmembers will share in minimal domestic chores, and daily responsibilities. You will have an opportunity to gain ICW and offshore (weather permitting) sailing experience (and hopefully plenty of time to relax and enjoy the cruise!). This sailboat is fully equipped and exceeds Coast Guard safety standards with chart plotter, autopilot, multiple GPS units, Radar, Life Raft, EPIRB, PFDs, and more.

Iím posting this ad for the Captain/Owner at her request. I cruised this vessel from Norfolk to NY last spring and expect to crew from Norfolk to Bahamas this winter as well. This Catamaran Charters in the Hamptons for the summer, and the Bahamas in winter with a stopover in Norfolk each way.
In order to make this cruise you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the vessel, in addition to your contribution to the ships expenses, which will cover all of your on board cruising expenses like food and fuel (My experience has been that everyone eats VERY well on board, with optional vegetarian meals). You will also have to be somewhat flexible with the arrival and departure dates if the weather changes, a more precise ETD will be discussed as we near departure time and have more accurate weather forecasts. This is a rare opportunity to cruise the ICW, get offshore experience, possibly even into the Bahamas on a beautiful catamaran for a tiny fraction of the cost that she normally charters. Without a doubt and unforgettable time. Sailboat pics are available at www.sailacat.com along with our rates for those interesting in chartering at a future date.

If you have a serious interest and are available between 11/1/06 and11/18/06 (or thereabouts with some flexibility). Please email your contact information along with your level of boating and sailing experience plus something about yourself. I can provide more information upon request and forward your information directly to the Captain. Air transportation home from the West Palm beach or Nassau in generally available on short notice and affordable. These spots usually fill up very quick. Please respond to the email address below rather than on this board, Thanks!
