Re: Mercruiser 110 9.8 steering lock?

Look for a hex head screw with a slot in it high up on port side of leg. When tightened down hard it makes it hard to turn leg, not a lock just pressure, friction resistance.

Mercruiser 110 9.8 steering lock?

I just got a nice used mercruiser 110 9.8 mid 70's model. I want to use it tomorrow but after putting it on my boat I realized I don't have any idea how to lock it straight to use it to power my Mac 26s. I have a strange feeling it might be missing a part. any help would be appreciated.

Brad
