The LWL on the 34 is just a little more then the 30. And from what I read the 34 has a large cockpit.
Is there a significant difference in room down below in the 34 over the 30?
I would be doing a lot of ICW motoring and sailing little river an Winyah bay in SC for now. But my goal is to hit the keys and Caribbean. Would the shallower draft on the 34 be a significant advantage idown there? I have been looking at Pearson 30's 323's, and Ericson 32's. I also like Cabot Rico's and Tayanas but there out of my price range. I have only been on one Tartan. A Tartan 37. And I fell in love. It is a sailing machine. I came home and read extensively about them They point well and are built tough. Not westsail tough but tough. So I looked at my wallet and the prices of 37's and said "uh no way". I can afford 30's with diesels and 34's with atomics of course depending on year and condition. Anyway again. The room down below in the 34vs30. Is it better for a tall, big guy. 6'3" 280lbs. Or comparable?
