Lost the travel trailer (30' tongue pull) in my divorce. She would not let me have it or buy her out of it. It had to be sold, Period. She simply didn't want me taking other women camping in it.

I'm curious about this as well. I've been in and around the St.Marys/Kingsland areas for years, both as a cruising sailor and a working professional in the marine industry. Whether there for pleasure or business, I've had many, many, many, more good and positive experiences while there than negative ones. What happened?

Re: tradgedy in St Marys, GA

Sometimes when people are purposely infuriated by divorce lawyers trying to instigate animosity so that they can profit from the ensuing dogfight, they precipitate things like this. This not unique. Sometimes people who feel outraged by perceived injustice, snap. Then, some people are ticking time-bombs just waiting for a reason to explode.

Safira,

When you told me about this earlier, I thought it was something that had happened a while ago. I didn't realize it had literally just happened.

Wow.

Not to sidetrack the discussion from what should be a respectful discussion about the original event, but...

Anyway, the double murder just off from the boatyard is not the reason I think we'll be leaving GA forever - The attitude of many locals towards boaters/cruisers is. There are lots of nicer places in the world.

The constitution says you can believe anything you want buddy.
Just because 99.9 something percent of the world disagrees with you is besides the point.

It also says you have no right to force me to believe what you do.

If my posts upset you then why are you reading them?
You are free to read or not read anything you want.
You can respond or not respond.
If you are upset then you are responsible for your feelings.
I am not. The ball is in your court.

YOU make your BED. YOU sleep in it.

Which is exactly the point I was making.

Re: tradgedy in St Marys, GA

First off the tragedy did not happen at the yard but in the river about 300 to 500 yards... it was a pretty well thought out plan by a person who was not carrying all the rock in the head or just about as crazy as a road lizard .... I am here and went through the whole thing ...
But if people are going to start moving and I will say good luck finding a better place
