It is in Seattle right now. as soon as we close we will be doing some work and then bringing it north. we will be mooring it in Anacortes by the end of May.

Our boat, named Polaris, is in Mitchell Bay on San Juan Island. We do come to the mainland occasionally so perhaps I could bring the props or you might be in Friday Harbor?

Hey Garth. Where's your Islander 28 located? Mine is in Arlington for a lengthy refit but should be in Anacortes the first week in June.

Re: Islander 28: Atomic 4 Prop Replacement

Yes, indeed. I have two props which I used on my 1978 Islander 28 witn a Volvo MD7 engine. One is a two blade prop, in very good condition, and a second which is a 3-blade Capbell Sailor prop, which is in nearly new condition. Shortly after I purchased the second prop I changed the engine in my boat to a Yanmar 3YM20 which required a change in prop and shaft because of the increase in hp and direction of operation. I would very much like to find a home for these two propellers.

Re: Props for I-28?

do you still have the props available? I am in the process of buying a 78 Inlander 28 with an MD7a.

28islander Thanks for all the information DL. I am looking forward to having a reliable powerplant in our boat. Still haven't decided but think we are leaning toward the 20HP Beta Marine.

Repower of I-28

The technician at Canoe Cove found that the Yanmar engine would fit on the old engine bed but its engine mounts had to be extended all the way to align with the shaft. He therefore mounted a block of aluminum on each mount and bolted the new engine to these.
