Commonly called a Pyrometer, Isspro I think was the manufacturer of the gauges in most of the trucks I drove. Not sure if they are model specific for each engine. IIRC if the pyro was installed ahead of the turbo 900 degrees was where you needed to back off the throttle and if it was installed after the turbo it was 11-1200. Don't know what they cost, you might need to drill and tap to install the probe. I'm sure a search will turn up lot's of info.

I'm having difficulty with my turbo waste gate, which is stuck open, and attempting to free it up. Naturally, I will now remain concerned that it freezes up again. I can confirm that it moves before casting off each time, but that is a bit of a pain. I'm not even sure you can actuate it against the vacuum and may need to pull the control arm off to move the crank. The manual says to check it every so often, but not at each departure.
Is there a simple aftermarket turbo temp alarm or monitor that can be installed? While underway, I'm not sure I would have any way of knowing that it is stuck again. If stuck closed next time, it could be much worse and over boost the motor.
