Actually since I never got any reply I decided to bite a bullet and decide to take a course with "Simply Sailing" (their scheduler worked the best for me). Took it in December and like it very much. There is another treat where described my experience. I hope your friend will have a good time too.

ASA sailing schools in Tampa/St. Petersburg

I am looking to take ASA sailing classes in Tampa area and narrowed it down to three schools: "Simple Sailing", "Flagship Sailing" and "Smarter Sail". Have anybody here used them or heard about them?
Unfortunately I could not find any information neither on this forum or web (maybe my search skills are not that good . Or maybe you can recommend other school in that area?
I have some sailing experience, racing keelboats (up to 30 feet) on Great Lakes for about 7 years as a trimmer, navigator and occasionally skipper. So I looking for more experience in "cruising" side: anchoring, mooring, docking and overall handling of a "big" cruising boat.
