Re: Scotty, I Need (adapters needed on board) More Power, So Hook Me Up !

In North America I have not seen a marina without 30 amp 125 volt shorepower with the exception of older marinas with 20 amp or only 15 amp service. In other words every marina with 50 amp also has 30 amp service.

Scotty, I Need (adapters needed on board) More Power, So Hook Me Up !

I'm making up a 50 ft. Shore Power Cable today. My Shore Power Outlet is -- 30 Amps, 125 Volts, 3 Prong, Twist Lock.

I see in my Reading that a number of-- Power Voltage/ Amp is (125/ 250 Volts., 20/ 30/ 50/ 70 amps <<>> are offered at the different marina's.

Since, I'm >> 125 V., 30 A. 3 lug << I need to make up or buy (1 or 2) adapters to change over to 30 A. to 50 A. 3 Prong or 4 prong at the different marinas.

Does that sound right, I'll need to buy one or two adapter(s) to connect my 125 V./ 30 A. cable ?

What other marina power (not USA Type) outlets would I run into in the Bahamas or Virgin Islands ? I assume that they are mostly USA type outlets but don't know for sure.
