Just got back into sailing last year. My wife and I bought a Mac 26x. Sailed it all year on the Great Lakes, mostly out of Muskegon, Mi. Spent a week sailing around in Grand Traverse Bay. Then sold the boat in Oct. We loved it so much wanted to go bigger of corse. We just closed on are new :) 1981 S2 11.0a can't wait to get out and play. Hopefully there's a few S2 owners on Sail net to help with questions.

S2 Hullabaloo,
I am new to the new Sailnet Community, also. I own an S2 11.0C. Have had it for 2 years now. Have done extended ocean passages on the east coast of USA. Great boat, great speed, easy to single handle, Love it. Her name is "GRACE". I moved up to the S2 from a 26' centercockpit ParkerDawson after the rudder broke for the 3rd time. I was 70 km SE of Hatteras and had to turn back to the outerbanks. Found the S2, Sold the PD. I am a happy sailor again! Welcome!
