Re: add Salona Yachts to the list

Departed the week after Sandy. Strong NE'er kept us inside from Portsmouth to Beaufort. Offshore to Charleston where she will remain for the winter. Nice trip.

Re: add Salona Yachts to the list

That is very cool! I have owned a few boring cruisers and fast racers that wife would not board. Our Salona kicks ass under power or sail. Locally I have a very fast rating which we sailed respectfully in a large regatta. I have the shoal keel but my race keel will be shipped next week. I only do a handful of races mostly cruising. Offshore for a few days last week, 4 of us and the boat was killer for a small boat!
The prez of Salona stopped by during the Annapolis Sail show.

Re: add Salona Yachts to the list

Nice boatI like the hull color and the sails.

I know well Salona, I have visited for two times the shipyard, I was one of the first to sail on the 38 and I have sailed a weak on the 41. I like them

Now they are going to make on their shipyard the Sydney 37 and 43 and I guess that after sailing on one of those you would find out that after all the Salona is not that fast I know the Salona is fast but those are just among the elite of performance cruisers that can aspire to the title of the fastest boats in their class. Have a look at Salona site and see their weight and B/D

Speaking as the president of the Salona Yachts NA owners association... (I voted myself in since I have the only Salona in the USA)
What I like about my Salona:
The profile is "sporty"
build quality is outstanding (I don't say that about many)
the interior is well finished, comfortable and lots of storage
quick under power or sail. I motor by lots of boats heading down the waterway. Sails with the larger boats easily
