Thanks Dale~ Your sheaves weren't chewed up from the wire? That's awesome.
Mine are a little marred and I'd hate to spend the money on new lines and have them ruined in a year.

CAL 35 MK II: Sheave Replacement

I have a 1984 CAL 35 MKII that still has the wire to rope halyards for main and jib. I'd love to replace them with all rope. I'm wondering if anyone here has done this and could offer insight. I've yet to get up there and look at the condition of the sheaves and pins. I'm trying to devise the best way to get up there since using the main halyard to go aloft without the jib as a safety would be necessary to keep the load off the jib sheave while I remove... etc.

Just thought I'd ask.

Captain Chris
