Re: oil pressure sender Yanmar 2GM

Found the answer so I figured I'd post in case anyone needs to know and searches.

There's a boot that should slid back uncovering a phillips head screw on the sender. My wire's boot had pretty much welded itself to the wire and didn't pull off without breaking the wire ring.

Turns out that part had failed, which is why my alarm wasn't working. So no loss breaking the wire ring/connector.

Thanks to Scott at AR Marine of Annapolis for giving me the answer.

I went to troubleshoot my oil pressure sender last night (no warning tone/light before start), and had trouble getting the cover off the front where the wire enters the sender.

I didn't want to yank too hard and risk breaking something that would leave me rewiring around the engine wiring harness.

Anyone know which direction that cover comes off? Pull straight out, twist, something else?

Thanks
