Re: Insurance Companies

Which companies that have the best claim payouts are well know by the pros in the industry. Find one nearby.

Re: Insurance Companies

In general, you want to try and learn about the experiences of others who have had losses and made claims. Insurance companies are not created equal. The mantra of too many today is the three D's. "Delay, Deny, Defend."

Re: Insurance Companies

Building new boat.Went to broker and tried to do due diligence on my own as well. Ended up going with same company. prices are competitive. company is huge multi national unlikely to fail. will insure for all waters with graduated increase in premiums as your waters expand. usual stuff about named storms etc. didn't hear about issues with pay outs. never had them before as only sailed coastal waters with occasional blue water (either go with rider or uninsured ).one of those choices where you only really find out after the fact.

Re: Insurance Companies

Sorry, can't help overseas. In the US, insurance companies are rated for financial stability, so you can know if they should be in business to pay out. Not a perfect system, but don't know if you have something similar.

Insurance Companies

Hi, I am in the process of buying a yacht and have gotten several quotes on insurance here in Australia, and the best price seems to come from a new company in Australia that has operated over seas for a fair while called PANTAENIUS. Has any one had any experience with this insurance company? Any other recommended companies would be appreciated, thanks
