Re: Still Looking for Spirit 23 Window Frames

Bummer man. I may need to look at replacing mine soonish too. The last owner caulked all over the edges. No leaks yet, but worried about what that means. Sails and rigging first though.....

Re: Still Looking for Spirit 23 Window Frames

They truly are. I really wanted that Spirit that was on eBay a couple days ago. I fought hard not to click bid, but alas I have no place for it right now

Take pics of the frame install process. I want to see how you do it. My frames are needing to come out, hopefully this summer. A previous owner put a crap load of silicon caulking around my windows and stancions

Re: Still Looking for Spirit 23 Window Frames

Have you looked at East Coast Craigslists? Sad to take advantage of others' misfortunes, but with all the damaged boats recently some one might be parting one out..

Water jets to my knowledge (limited) can only do straight cuts through something where as the window frames have multi compound curves & recesses for the windows. But ask anyway I may be surprised.

windyway I see what you mean, those are nice frames that you posted but I want my Spirit to look somewhat original, and I prefer the look of the plastic frames. If all else fails I may make them out of wood & epoxy paint them so you couldn't tell they weren't plastic.
