I have been lurking in the shadows for some time now and joined just the other day. A lot of good information here. I have a Neptune 24 and sail it on local lakes. Have had it for about 2 years now. Before I had an older Islander 24. Tuff ole boat, it was. And still is. Have been sailing now for about 4 years. Sailed some out of Port Aransas on a Cat 38. Nice boats they are. Before I had spent my years on the water in bass boats and other little power and boats with out power, other than oars. Been in and around boats and water most of my life. Learned to sail on a Cat 22.

Time has come now. Going to sell the Neptune and the Ranger bass boat and buy one down Texas way. I would like to sail over to Florida and do the Keys and cross the Gulf Stream and sail the Bahamas with one other person. I will try to find some one who has made the crossing before and some what knows the area.

Boats I am looking at is the Islander 28, an Islander Bahama 30, Irwin Citation 34 and last but not least, a Bristol 27. All fine boats, IMHO.

Any way, just an introduction and any input from you folks would be nice.

Thanks,

Tommy
