Re: MId to late 80's Tartan 28

TARTAN 28 sailboat specifications and details on

Typical Tartan, solid design and a standard traditional layout by the looks of it. Says they built 136 of them so there must be experience around.

Handsome boat, good pedigree, decent numbers... no rocketship (SA/D under 18) but looks a good stable cruiser.

MId to late 80's Tartan 28

I have looked online and can't find any information about this year/model of boat. Has anyone had experience with one, and if so was in on a lake in much less confined sailing area? I currently own a Columbia 8.3 and enjoy it, but am looking to move into a somewhat better in light air boat~~thank

ps I sail on the Tn river
