C&C owners are at cncphotoalbum.com. I'm sure someone has tried before!

Re: C and C Mk2 portlights

Are you replacing the forward ports or the ones in the main cabin? The forward ones can be replaced easily with beckson ports. I just replaced all the ports on my C&C 35 mkII. I had to have the deadlights for the main cabin custom made.

Re: C and C Mk2 portlights

You'll have to check the Lewmar catalogue and know your existing port dimensions, and probably have to pick the next size up. This might be a difficult job because IIRC the MKIIs cabin has a fair bit of curvature.. Opening ports will only tolerate so much before they won't seal properly and the lenses can be under stress when closed.

It would update the boat considerably, though! Another option might be to simply replace your lenses but put a small opening port into the lens itself if its big enough, that would provide at least some cross ventilation and mean less finishing work as well.

Good luck!

C and C Mk2 portlights

I am hoping to replace the port lights on my C and C 35 MK11 with portlights that open. I am looking at Lewmar portlights but I dont know what size I need to order. Can anyone help me with this? Also does anyone have any suggestions on other makes of portlights?
