Re: 1967 Redline 41 custom mkI

I will post some pic's after I see the boat, which will be sometime over the next week or two.
It's not Bedlam, Bedlam was sold a couple of years ago.
Originally, Bedlam came without an interior. All of the finishing down below was done much later on. She was a beautiful example of an older C&C though.
The boat I'm interested in is a sistership, one of four, to Condor. It has been cruised extensively thoughout the east coast, the Gulf and up and down the west coast from BC to Mexico.
The boat has been use as a motor/sailer for the last number of years as it has been difficult for the owner to sail such a large boat by himself.
Today, she has low hours and is on her fourth engine. The sails are lightly used and the standing and running rigging has been replaced recently.
I think he said her name was Cinnabar, but I could be wrong.
I had a really interesting chat with the guy for about an hour, but we were standing in the middle of a McDonalds parking lot, so, some things got missed.

1967 Redline 41 custom mkI

By chance I had the opportunity to meet and talk in length with the owner of a Redline 41 mk I.
It was built in 1967 and has been owned and loved by the original purchaser ever since.
Some major modifications have been done over the years. 12 feet has been added to the mast as well as more ballast was added to the keel. A bowsprit with a custom anchor roller was also added, this moved the forestay forward about a foot and a half. These are the major mods that have been done.
He is going to pull it out of the water in the next few days so I can have a good look at things.
I haven't had a chance to go over any of it yet but does anyone have any experience or better yet has anyone owned one of these beautiful classics.
I know the history of these boats quite well but any other info would be great.
