I remember when an Agro Minister, I think he was the B.C. Minister, drank some pesticide like 2-4-5-T to show how "safe" it was. IIRC the one he drank contained Dioxin.

That was a LONG time ago - before "Agent Orange".

Yes, unfortunately this is the case of most if not all cleaners unless you make them yourself, with vinegar or something like that. Even the "natural" products will produce very unfortunate results if ingested. Way back when I was in the restaurant business I had a cleaning products salesman talk about how safe the products were and he would actually drink some of it. I figured if nothing worse I am sure he was quite regular, but I can't think having a de-greasing product in your body that is made up of fats could be good for you. Funny thing was we were required by corporate mandate to use the products so he really did not need to convince me.

What SailingJackson said. Spray 9 even works very well on household porcelain!

gel coat, stainless, galley counters, acrylic ports, vinyl cushions, varnished wood, iPad front and back, and everything in the head. I don't use it on fabric.

Takes off bug stains, wine stains, bird poop, and general grim. My boat came with a whole basket of cleaners from the previous owner. I had some stained spots and bug stains on the transom and tried everything in the basket. Nothing worked. Then I tried Spray Nine and it worked instantly. It worked so well I was a bit scared, afraid it must have chlorine or some other nasty chemicals in it. I checked the MSDS sheet and the stuff seems relatively safe. I've never had it hurt my skin. It's in the same vein as Clorox 409 but seems to work better.

It will clean anything that you would use 409 type cleaner. You can make it more concentrated for things like de-greasing the engine. That is what I like about the concentrate cleaners you can make it meet the needs of the job, and this is my second favorite next to Maguires APC. But I can only find that at professional auto detail suppliers.

Re: Exceptional Deal on Spray Nine Cleaner

This is not uncommon with many things like this. If you have ever looked at pesticides, particularly Herbicides as I do for work. One brand will have three different labels on the same shelf for different apps, in some cases the chemical is the same % inside, others one might have 18% vs 24 vs 50. But once you dilute it down into the final liquid, it is all at or about .5-1% final dilutions, as are the premixed ready to spray! Label and what it is for will change only!

Roundup and its many other brands are really good at doing this!

Exceptional Deal on Spray Nine Cleaner

Spray Nine has been by far my favorite cleaning product for several years now. West Marine sells spray bottles for $10 or so and a refill gallon for $26.99. The local Home Depot is closing out a package deal with spray and a gallon refill for $5.

I don't know if it's a local deal only or if this is in other Home Depot stores as well. It has a home use label, without the word Marine or a boat image on it, but I checked the MFGR web site and MSDS sheets and it appears that household Spray Nine is identical to Marine Spray Nine.
