This is a long shot but here goes. I am looking for a mechanical drawing/ breakdown of the uniflow valve from a teleflex model 50 hydraulic steering system.
I don't need a breakdown of the whole steering system JUST the VALVE. Can't find it anywhere. Maybe somebody can help?

Thanks rugosa. It doesn't look like what I was searching for.

I was doing a repair on a hydraulic steering system and couldn't source exactly where the leak was coming from. I took the valve to a shop that works on hydraulics and they were stumped too. In the end I got them to change O rings and that seems to have solved my problem.

Couldn't find a breakdown of the valve anywhere though....

I have a uniflow 50 and 2x 250v helms. i keep losing steerage and she goes out of control for a second. and then i regain steerage. I cant figure it out. I don't see any obvious leakage around the cylinder or the valve I bled the system according to the instructions on the uniflow. It seems to be functioning 90% better with the occasional slippage although it's hard to tell because there are strong currents where I am. But after being underway for about four hours I noticed my lower home which has never leaked is now leaking.
I have a large 40 in.³ ram that controls a 3 x 6 rider on a 20 ton steel sailboat that is 42 feet long
I am considering buying new helms and deleting the uniflow valve all together but before I spend a couple thousand dollars I would love any feedback
thanks! jonathan
