Hi Waymar,

We changed to a new furling system for the genoa. Nowadays we have a Facnor Flatdeck which is very good.

Re: Jeanneau Attalia

Hi there everyone,

Congratulations Waymar to your success. I'm still working on mine...

As I told you about before our new mainsail was delayed, but we got it before the vacation. We're very satisfied with the new sails and rigg, although I'm still learning how to sail the boat as good as possible. I suppose (hope) that is a lifelong challenge.

I'm planning to buy a plotter this winter. We've been using an iPad with a navigational program called Seapilot. The program is good but it's difficult to see the charts in sunlight. I'm thinking about a plotter from B&G och Garmin. Do any of you have any ideas on what is good or not?

Dear Waymar
OK, thank you. Pretty much basics, but also showing that a lot of things have to be right to be in the front.
Keep up

Hi Jens!

It's fun to pick up the mooring after the race and watch the other boats cross the finish line (instead of the other way around). I would say there are several reasons: New Genoa, a clean bottom, more experienced crew (our tacks are much faster and crisper and we really hike) and a tactician who joined our crew who has racing experience (and he does not mind taking a proactive approach to the start line so now we are close to first off the start (always in the thick of things) and finally, better sail trim.

We are having fun...

Thanks for the article! I am still doing my research for the right boat. I do like the Jeanneau's design, but got to have the height though.

Dear Waymar
Congratulations !
I have a Furlex roller system, works fine.
What would you say is the main reason(s) for your porgress in the racing?

Re: Jeanneau Attalia

I am currently looking for a boat for a liveaboard/ cruiser, and my pops sent me a link to a Jeanneau Attalia 32. So far I have fell in love with the design of both the Hull and the Interior and looks like a great boat to take around the Caribbean, and possibly visit family in California (once I am experienced enough though). My only concern is the headroom of the Attalia since I am just a hair under 6'1". How is the headroom on the Attalia, and the Sunrise?
