Re: universal M4-30 engine fresh water pump

The V850 was made for Westerbeke and is an uprated version of the V800. You will find spares for the V800 at a Kubota engine dealer, not at a Kubota tractor dealer. You will find the list of Kubota engine dealers on this website Kubota Engine America

m4-30 info

The Model M4-30, is 52 cu in, 25 hp, 4 cylinder, based on the Kubota Y-850 block, was built from 1988 to 1997. and generating (18.6 kW / 25 hp at 3,600 with displacement of (850 cc / 52 cu in.

I could not find any 4 cylinder tractors using this block. Make me think is was produced only for universal? Hard to belive.

Re: universal M4-30 engine fresh water pump

What is the year and HP of the M4-30 engine?
I might be able to find you a tractor model # so you can lookup the parts on a website that sells Kubota parts.

Re: universal M4-30 engine fresh water pump

I'm gonna say it has to be one of these: Coolant - Water Pumps - Country Sales and Service LLC Store

To really pin it down you need to know the Kubota tactor model # that the Y850 engine block was used in. Kubota only sells parts for their tractor models - NOT their engine block model #. This is how Universal parts dealers like Torreson stay in business charging 10 X the price the parts cost from Kubota.

This page lists all of the Kubot tractor model #s:
TractorData.com - Kubota tractors sorted by model

If you can match the mfr. year and HP of the engine then select that model to see which engine block is listed for that tractor.
Tedious but it will save you money.

universal M4-30 engine fresh water pump

The fresh water pump bearing has gone out. I know the universal engine uses a Kubota block, the y 850 for the M4-30. Does anyone know of a cross reference of universal part numbers to Kubota ones? Or the Kubota part number for the fresh water pump. The deal needs a part number or a Kubota serial number
