Funny story. I was with my ex-boss in Cozumel, tough job huh.

There was a yacht out in the bay with a helicopter on back. My boss says that boat must be like 100 feet. I couldn't help but laugh and said no its more like 400 feet. He looked at me like what the hell. I don't think any had ever laughed at him, especially an employee. His other employees were all yes men, but they probably still work for him, I don't. I was wrong anyways the boat was only 298 feet.

Yes I am serious. I might install a bow thruster on a 25 before I installed wheel but both are way down the list of things i would put on a 25 footer. Near the top is a water maker, self steering, the middle of the list includes a 3rd cabin and a hot tub.

I don't think the OP was being pretentious to want a wheel but probably inexperienced boater that thinks a wheel would make the experience better. Hopefully we set him straight. I would install a bow thruster first.

In doing a search I found threads about people wanting to trade their wheel in for tiller.
