Re: Wallpaper install...

The vinyl is is cracked and peeling under the portal, so we have to deal with that. I hear ya about the mirror - I'll give it some thought. We're replacing the browned light covers with new white ones, and converting the florescent to LED so when that is done we can take a step back and see how the light is.

Small mirrors...very small

Re: Wallpaper install...

We have a 1993 Beneteau where the vinal is falling off of the aft berth and V-berth. Can you just paint the walls? They have the raw inside hull texture. Besides the vinal coming off, there is mildew. The mildew would be easier to keep off with paint.

I'd just live with it. The mirror isn't a bad idea, but make sure you put it up high enough that you aren't staring back at yourself when you're using the head.

Wood chip paper makes a great non slip deck coating...... just make sure the wood chips are teak to keep with the maritime theme.

MMR - put a big piece of acrylic mirror on the bulkhead to bounce some light around. The only paint that will make it brighter than what you already have is glow in the dark stuff which might be scary in the head

Re: Wallpaper install...

I've been thinking about painting our head (even with the light on its a dark cave) but I'm intimidated by the prospect - ok, I'm afraid I'm going to screw it up!

Would you just paint the walls? Walls and cabinets (leaving the teak trim as is)?

Ick...getting anxious just thinking about it! Maybe I'll just live with it.

Tell her that she can pick any color that she wants, and you will paint it for her.
I was going to ask the PO to post some pics when it is done.
