This was moored in my harbour over the weekend, not bad I guess :)

Naw, it's just a toy for Alan Colas; "the all-time size record for the race, the OSTAR, 1976, and probably for any single-hander, was set by Alain Colas, sailing the 236-foot (72 m) four-masted schooner Club Mediterranée".

I just had to go down and look at this thing.
She is called the Adela. First lauched in 1903. She is 181 feet long, has rod rigging and a fin keel. She was refitted in 2003 with every concievable modern option available. She is on her way to Alaska from the BVI. She will be in Alaska for a couple of months and then return to the BVI.
She is owned by George Lindemann, president and ceo of Southern Union Pipeline.
