Sure glad I didn't drive to the Annapolis Boat show.. Tatto yachts didn`t bring a 22` to the show.. Just their 26 motorsailer..

Maybe I`ll se it at the Cleveland boat show. Maybe?

Is that good or bad.. Any reasons not to buy one, MIght take a year ot two to get one.The Mac 19X just didnt seem big enough for cruiseing

I owned a mac 26x.. it was not a vey good SAilboat compaired to other boats, But with the 50 hp motor I actually sailed a lot more and traveled to further ports.. The15 knot motoring can spoil you.
I used the spinaker quite a bit. With an empty ballast tank. and 20 mph wind i crossed lake Erie in less than 5 hours, Surfing on 3`-4` waves. My gps was showing bursts of 11 knots at times.. i doubt it would hit 11 knots with a full ballast tank, maybe 7 knots.

One of my favoite t tricks, was to motor out into the wind at full speed for 2 hours. Stop put up the spinaker are Sail/surf back.

Tatoo yachts vs macgregors

From mac sailing pages... I just discovered that Roger`s son is takng over the bussiness nd moving to florida.. Changing he name to tatoo .. I checked the website, the 26 looks the same and it looks like thier buildiing a also making a 22` motorsailer that can hande a 50 hp motor and speeds of 20 knots under power..

I thought I was done with sailing, (health problem) Maybe.
But the 22 sure looks good, an a big improvemnt over the Mac 19`
