Re: Wallas 88DU counter stove

Hi Sternic,we had one of those, it soon became the most unreliable piece of kit on the boat. The spares are an extortionate price. It got thrown in the bin and replaced with a gas stove.Regards Dave.

Re: Wallas 88DU counter stove

I both sell and install Wallas products. I work for the Canadian distributor in Victoria. Cook with the lid up and thermostatically controlled heat with the lid down. They are efficient in both fuel use and electrical consumption, clean burning and quiet.

What size is your boat?

The control in your post is the older one which has been replaced by the thermostat control shown in the next post on newer models ending in "T".

Does anyone have experience with these units? They look fabulous, run on diesel and in spite their price from what I read they are good investment.
