Re: Bob Perry's take on Wolfenzee's dream boat

Wolfenzee's boat is still in the impound area! or appears to be. I hope it is not his boat, someone is going to have to pay a lot of money to PT to get it out at somepoint in time......

Re: Bob Perry's take on Wolfenzee's dream boat

With reference to Utowana 1902. I used to visit and stay on this boat when she came into Millbay, Plymouth, UK. She was brought down from Norway by a Spaniard who converted her back from a hospital boat with added superstructure, to her original form. My father supplied the new spars from Cornish woodlands. On completion she sailed to southern Spain, this would have been about 1979/ 1980. Would love to know where she is now, lots of stories attached !

Re: Bob Perry's take on Wolfenzee's dream boat

I seem to have found Davids boat, for better or worst, is seems to be in what I would call the impound area of the marina. so I could not get too close to her to see what shape she is in, be it good or bad.

If the person that was posting with info earlier sees this, and can respond, or someone that posts at CF, maybe they can get info from that angle too.

Re: Bob Perry's take on Wolfenzee's dream boat

Was up there today, as I was heading out of town in the west part of the marina, I think I saw david;s boat. Looks a bit worst for wear vs the pics in his blog etc. I'll look again next week now that I think I know where it is.

Re: Bob Perry's take on Wolfenzee's dream boat

It took me until friday evening to figure out how to get a pic of the boat. I do not recall seeing a boat like that at the dock on wed or friday up in PT. May take some binocs with me wed if I am up that way again, if not friday. Seem to be making one to two trips a week lately.

May as well post a price, specs, and a picture. This thread will be the best piece of marketing that boat has ever seen. Also, I think Wolf might appreciate any help we can give in making sure his girl finds a good home.

Bob, I put you in charge of vetting the new owner. I can picture you, shotgun in hand, sizing up your girl's date. "Now son, you WILL have her back by 8:00 right?"

FWIW David's boat is not a double ender. She has a transom with an outboard rudder.

Re: Bob Perry's take on Wolfenzee's dream boat

I tried to see if Davids boat was at the shore, or still at anchor in pt wednesday. Saw a few double enders, but not with his boats name. May get another shot tomorrow.
