Hi Rob and Judy, Glad to hear from you... I have passed on your sailmail number to George, and he'll message you shortly. (probably before you get this) He's in Papeete currently so you can meet up and check each other and the boat out. How far were you planning on going?

Re: 2 Crew Available from French Polynesia

Hi Debbie, thank you for your reply. Yes we are looking to crew still because the boat we are on, albeit fantastic, is heading a different route to us - they are Asia-bound.

I have not had internet for many weeks, quite a refreshing experience and I must be quick now, we are in the Marquesas, Nuku Hiva and leaving for Tuamotos this week and Papeete in June.

We would love to talk further. Please can you email us on WDF9661 AT sailmail.com (no attachments please) as that's more reliable.

thank you, hoping we can meet soon,

Rob and Judy

Re: 2 Crew Available from French Polynesia

Hi, I sent you a response a week ago, but not sure if you are just not able to access your mail or not. I am heading to Papeete the end of June to join my Fiancee heading to Bora Bora, and then onto Fiji, on board a hunter 50ft CC with all the bells and whistles and safety equip. I'm not sure if you will be in the right area or what, but if you're interested in knowing more, then lets chat further. Thanks
Deb

Re: 2 Crew Available from French Polynesia

Hello, I am wondering if you are still needing a boat? My fiance is currently about to make land in Hiva, and then will continue on to Tahiti. His current crew is leaving to come back to Calgary Canada so he'll need someone to assist him from there to Fiji, where I will be joining him later. He's asked me to start posting and this is what he's requesting.

"Need people in good shape, preference given to crew with sailing experience and or plus certifications. not prone to getting seasick. Pay their own personal expenses such as travel to and from boat, food contribution, and any other personal expenses. Sharing of chores with others on board a must, cooking, watches, cleaning.

I need crew from May 24th starting in Tahiti, and I will become desperate for crew when crossing from Tahiti to Fiji around End of June, first week of July. There is possibility of crewing on from Fiji to New Zealand, end of September, beginning of October also".

He has a 50ft, Hunter CC with water maker, solar panels, generator, etc.. a great boat with lots of room you'd get your own cabin with washroom as well. George is very easy going and competent with his Off Shore Yacht Master Cert. If you have any more questions.. feel free.

2 Crew Available from French Polynesia

English crew (couple, aged 28) available from May 2013 from Marquesas or other parts of French Polynesia.

We have lived aboard yachts since December 2012, mainly repairing and maintaining various parts including UV strip replacement/ sail repair.

We are able to supply some food items (cans, etc.) and can both cook/clean and help out wherever needed aside from making good watch-keepers.

We have motor-sailed from Panama to Galapagos on a 42ft ketch. Unfortunately our skipper was not stable or safe to be around but we are now crewing on a catamaran to Marquesas/ French Polynesia. We can supply references from several skippers as testament to our behaviour and attitude.

We will be delighted to supply more information and would like to find out more about potential crew positions heading westbound.
