eng - trans problem help!!!!!!

I fixed the last problem. now i am unable to remove the damper plate from the flywheel.. rusted tight... I was told that I may as well just rip it off and replace the plate, which is I understand is about $100.00... what do you think??? firemanbob

Yanmar usually applies a transmission from its subsidiary Kanzaki and with gears, etc. from Hurth Transmission.
Typical Yanmar transmission dissassembly requires a special set of tools to remove the output shaft nut from the output shaft.
For example the 2QM20 requires special wrench #177099-090910 and special coupling lock #177099-09020 .... this will get the output coupling disconnected, then its a simple dissassembly once you get the shifting fork disconnected. For a 3QM30: special wrench #177090-09100, and coupling lock #177090-09140.
Be careful, as the Kanzaki Transmission requires a lot of special tools, etc. to properly disassemble,etc.
If you''re located on the East Coast, contact Mack Boring Co. in NJ who is the master distributor for Yanmar for the eastern USA ..... also get the service manual, to make your life easier in itemizing the special tools needed, the sequences and other specs. What you are about to undertake is a near impossibility without the special tools required.

eng - trans problem help!!!!!!

have a 30 pearson and it has a yan-mar eng and odd ball japanise trans.. after extracating the pair from the eng compt i find that i am unable to seperate then. so i guess that the splined shaft is fused in place. any ideas????? firemanbob
