Here is a photo of the 45 lb Mantus template on the bow of my PSC34 (along with a 45 lb Bruce and a 35 lb Delta). You can see the roll bar strikes the ss tube that supports the red/green running light.

Isn't the Mantus anchor lighter thus larger for each given size? I remember checking them out at the boat show and the right sized anchor seemed HUGE!!!!

Sailak:looking at a picture of your 37 you have the new bow sprit configuration, older Crealocks do not look like yours.

Already have a fancy new anchor, but need a chain hook. Will you have them? Will you have a booth in Port A? Not sure what "in harvest moon" means.

Re: New Generation Anchor on the 37

Fotosailor, you have probably already heard this but just in case. Many folks do not secure anchor with the anchor roller pin. The idea is if a wave hits hard, the pin could bend and jam making deploying hard or even impossible( without cutting pin).
Just an FYI

Re: New Generation Anchor on the 37

I went thru this this past spring. I tried the Manson 45 - too big to use without doing modifications to the boat, the Manson 35 - almost a fit, and the Ronca 33 - best fit. I settled on the Ronca but have to drill it to secure it with the pin that's there. The Ronca also makes it possible to carry another anchor on the second roller without too much fuss.

Hey,
Sorry to bump this but I verified which anchor we have, and thought I'd add to the virtual knowledge base.
It is a Rocna original 25kg and it fits perfectly own the rollers of our 37.
I bought it in Tasmania after dragging a 45lb CQR all over the place. The holding is terrible in many places there. We never dragged again.

Re: New Generation Anchor on the 37

Here is our 35# Manson Supreme nestled in with a HT Danforth ?35?. This works well EXCEPT if you want to launch the Danforth before the Manson Supreme. That is a pain. Otherwise they play well together.
