Hey,

My boat has a 1986 Universal M25 with about 4000 hours. It still runs great, starts easily, makes good power, doesn't use any oil, etc.

You can get good maintenance kits from these guys:
Sailboat Supplies, Engine Parts and Boat Parts

I have purchased the 'minor spare parts A' from them. It's not cheap, but it includes all the items you will normally need and is packaged nicely. It includes
Zincs
Heat Exchanger Gasket
Lift Pump Fuel Element
Fuel Filter
Oil Filter
Belt
Impeller Kit

For "marinized" parts like the raw water pump, heat exchanger, etc., these guys are as good as any.

Sailboat Supplies, Engine Parts and Boat Parts

For parts that are not unique to the marine conversion, go to a Kubota tractor dealer. You will need the tractor model that your engine was used in.

Oh... well then She's not broke in either! LOL good luck with it! Most of the parts come from kubota tractor parts suppliers. unless you want to pay "marine suppliers" with your first born. On this forum, you will find lots of information about your engine. Paul just replaced his fresh water pump.

Universal Atomic Parts

Hi All,

I'm the new owner of an Allmand 31, which is powered by a 34 year old Universal Atomic 24hp 3 cyl diesel with 3300 hrs on it. It's history from new is well documented with services and expected component replacement (heat exchanger, water pumps etc.). Just made a 7.5 hr voyage at 2300 RPM without a miss.

Couple of questions for the forum. Is the age and hours of the motor a real eyebrow raiser for anyone? Does anyone have a good Universal Atomic parts supplier they go to (if for nothing more than maintenance parts)? Thanks.
