Lavranos designed cat ketches in that length as well...

Deric I have a Herreshoff Cat Ketch with carbon fiber masts and half wishbone booms. It is a 33 foot boat and 1 of 5 made by CKY, although there are dozens of the 31 footers.

You know the more I think about it you may have it right. It certainly looked like a big cat ketch nonesuch. I have always liked the Niagaras that he designed.

I'm pretty sure that I saw one of these near Salt Spring Island in July this year. It was really eye catching.

There are about six Mark Ellis designed 40' cat ketches that look very much like giant Nonsuchs except they were built, to a high standard in Taiwan. Very nice lines. We almost bought the only conventional cutter version of the boat.

At 31-33 feet it could be an Able Whistler. Beautiful lines and workmanship.

Could be on of the Chuck Paine designs. I found the reference to his 32-footer, but I know he designed bigger Cat Ketches too.
