Re: They should part out this one

No issue with delamination of bulkheads on my 30 O'Day. Looks beautiful throughout. Some soft spots on deck adjacent to shrouds but chain plates fine.

Re: They should part out this one

Hello Old Friends,
I used to own anO-Day25 named SugarFree, now 20 years later I am looking at an O-Day30, Exterior of the vessel shows her age, at 35, but still stylish looking.
I haven't seen inside the boat yet, but in the pictures it looks like maybe they peeled the bulkheads, since they appear white in the photo's.
Has anyone had trouble with delamination on the bulkheads?

I had the same thought, Faster. Denise, you're always welcome to come out to our boat.

Re: They should part out this one

Darn. How do I miss these things? I could have used a bunch of the parts off of this boat. My family loves our old O'Day 30 1978. I think we have spent 100 nights on it in four years and all the children have learned to sail her. Far from perfect and I have some soft spots which I plan to attack this winter while in the yard for a bottom. I really would like to have an extra set of the Barrient winches...

Re: They should part out this one

I'm pretty sure I looked at that boat about 4 years ago. The decks were so soft it felt like you were walking on a foam rubber pad. They had the rigging so tight that there was a very prominate bulge where the bulkheads were. Sandy did someone a favor on this one. I'd guesss the scrap value on the aluminium and lead would be more than $315.00

I was looking at some of there boats, mostly sandy boats. They mostly sell for a couple of hundred dollars. So it will likely be parted out, and scrap.
