Re: South seas music

Is Bali "South Seas" enough? Gamelan music is indigenous to Indonesia in general and is really different...

hmmm, not sure why the imbed code isn't working right here, but a youtube search for Gamelan will bring it up from Bali, Java, Etc. not sure you could dance to it tho, it's very different.

I love the South Seas music . This is a very old film and is funny cornie . But the sounds at the end are intoxicating . Not to mention the South Sea hotties .

Re: South seas music

'South Seas' covers a lot of territory & styles of music. I *think* OP means something along the lines of the Maori & Hawai'ian chants that are an integral part of dance such as hula. Try the Kamahiwa Collection One, Disc Two samples of Keali'i Reichel, here. Is this the kind of thing you want?

South seas music

Hopefully this is posted correctly. Can anyone recommend a good south seas CD with lots of traditional drumming and singing... not something modernized but just the clean original music...

... many thanks
