Re: Trailer rental question

Agree with AZGUY. If you have any assets the shark lawyers will find and take them. Suggest you have a talk with your liability insurer.

Re: Trailer rental question

Would be nice if something like that would be workable. I don't have a trailer, and have had the thought that it is too bad that there are so many trailers just sitting in the yard during the summer.

Re: Trailer rental question

I understand it's unregistered, but how about insurance..??

I guess potentially you could draft a contract with the renter assuming all responsibility and liability but that wouldn't absolved you from mechanical defects, overdue maintenance issues, etc. Think about it if attire blew out, brakes failed, etc. No contract or liability release gets you out of that...

Personally for the few bucks I would think you can make it could be way more costly if something went wrong....IMHO

Trailer rental question

A triple axle trailer came with my 28" HR28. It just sits in a storage lot at $40/month. A couple of guys have approached about renting it for local hauling of their boats. I guess they want to paint topsides or do bottom jobs. I would not mind recovering some of my storage fee but am concerned about liability. Is it a good idea to rent the trailer out for a daily or monthly rate? Is there a way to cover myself from liability? It is unregistered as trailers in SC are not registered. What would you do? Thanks...
