According to the Ericson manual:
"The first three letters "ERY" designate the manufacturer, Ericson Yachts.
The next two numbers "28" designate the model and
the following three numbers are the hull number.
Following the hull number is a letter which corresponds to the month of manufacture where, A=January, B=February, C=March and so forth.
The first of the last three numbers is the last digit of the calender year that your boat was built and the last two numbers represent the model year".

Hi thought much the same.
Are you able to give me an example of a Hin Number that Ericson would put on their boats.

That looks to be the HIN but Ericson boats start out ERY. GFL was used for a Cherokee which was made in Michigan. Built in June of 1970?
Hi all you lucky poeple who own Ericson 35. The reason why i so happy is because i live in Australia and i own an Ericson 35 too.
Just decovered this site.
Can you please answer a question i have. What do these letters on the stern of my boat stand for?
