sailingdog For teak to deck sealant, I would use either Boatlife LifeCalk, or 3M 101. IMHO, both of these will work better on oily woods like teak than the 4200 or Sikaflex 291.

billangiep I've read that some of the teak cleaners will react with 5200. 3M 101 might be a better choice? Product Catalog

camaraderie Ditto the sikaflex 291.

Freesail99 IF your using screws I would use 3M 4200 strong but can be removed at a latter date. If this is something that moves a bit I would use sikaflex 291.
sikaflex 291 is as strong as 3M's 4200 but much more flexible...

I am resetting my deck fittings, I will use sikaflex 291.

TrueBlue 3M 5200 sealant has the highest bonding strength - but very permanent, so - extremely difficult to remove components after curing, without some destruction.

Adhesive for deck

I have some trim strips that I need to attach to the deck, and don't know what adhesive to use. The wood is coated with epoxy and varnish, and the wood strips will also be attached with screws about every 6-8 inches. Any ideas on what adhec=sive would be suitable for mounting to the deck?

I searched through the forums, but couldn't find anything... Thanks everyone!
